| Description: |
In order to apprehend people committing
offences under the Wildlife Act, a
decoy was set up near Sandilands,
Manitoba.
At approximately 11:00 a.m. Natural
Resource Officer RODGERS radioed and
said “shot fired, from the vehicle,
driver’s side”.
Officers attended the scene and stopped
by the parked truck described by
Officer RODGERS. There were two
occupants in the vehicle. The driver
was standing outside the vehicle with
his firearm. He was identified as
HAREL Raymond C.
Officers took one 22-250 cal. Midland
gun Company bolt action rifle from
HAREL. The gun barrel was warm
indicating it had just been fired.
Harel was convicted and fined $1074.
His rifle was forfeited to the Crown. |
