Transporting live minnows without permit |
| |
| Description: |
A group of American anglers entering
Canada had a bag containing what
appeared to be water with dead minnows
in it. Canada customs officers were
suspicious so they took the bag and
poured out the liquid and put the
minnows in fresh water. Within seconds
the minnows began to revive and swim
around. Sprague officers were contacted
and subsequently charged one person. It
is a common practice around the Sprague
area. Live minnows are placed in water
and scope which stuns the fish. The
fish are revived in fresh water when the
anglers reach their destination. |
