| Description: |
An officer conducting a recreational
fishery patrol observed a male subject
quickly and suspiciously retreat to
the inside of an ice fishing shack.
The officer identified himself and
ordered the person to open the door.
This person refused to open the door,
stating that nature had called and
that he was "trying to get rid of it"
before allowing the officer to enter.
The officer could hear sounds
consistent with lines being reeled
in. The officer ordered the occupant
several times, to open the door.
Finally the door opened and the
officer could see several rods with
broken lines. He also observed
another line extending into the water.
The officer took possession of this
line and began to reel it in. The
subject grabbed the line from the
officer, broke it and sent the broken
line down the fishing hole.
Lileshwar SINGH was charged with
Obstructing an inspector acting in
execution of his duties. SINGH pled
guilty and received a $150 fine.
