Sell fish without issuing a Commercial Trade Record or receipt |
| |
| Description: |
An investigation into the illegal
commercial sale of fish resulted in a
charge against William SANDERSON of
Selkirk, MB. SANDERSON, a Lake
Winnipeg commercial fisherman sold
walleye to another person and did not
give him a receipt or a Commercial
Trade Record (CTR).
All commercial sales of fish must be
declared under receipt or CTR as this
authorizes a person to possess a
certain volume of fish. Furthermore,
species such as walleye are harvested
under quota therefore written
documentation must be kept by the
commercial fisher.
Information revealed that SANDERSON
had sold at least 100 pounds of
unrecorded walleye fillets to another
person.
The specified penalty for this offence
is $535. SANDERSON pled guilty and
was indeed assessed this fine. |
